BMW ALPINA B4 S BITURBO

The new BMW ALPINA B4 S Bi-Turbo

The foundation that Burkard Bovensiepen laid in the 1960s in the form of a performance-enhanced BMW 1500, has since developed into a permanent fixture in the luxury sports car segment. What were then the first technologically advanced products marketed by ALPINA, namely four-cylinder petrol engines with Weber dual carburettors, are now in modern form high-tech automobiles. Equipped from the outset with the best possible genes by BMW, they represent the ultimate in performance, comfort, driving culture and efficiency.

The new BMW ALPINA B4 S Bi-Turbo models combine these characteristics like no other and stand out from the crowd with their dynamic styling paired with a modest elegance. The revised straight-six 3.0 litre engine now delivers even more power and ensures thrilling performance. The adaptive ALPINA sport suspension and the revamped 8-Speed Sport-Automatic transmission with ALPINA SWITCH-TRONIC deliver impressive dynamics and maximum comfort.

The new BMW ALPINA B4 S Bi-Turbo receives subtle design changes as part of the latest model update, including new front and rear aprons with chrome accents. New LED head- and fog lights, now standard, ensure maximum road illumination for improved safety and lend the new BMW ALPINA B4 S Bi-Turbo a distinctive, powerful appearance. A newly designed tail-light cluster, now also in LED technology, rounds-off the package. Superior material quality and refined interior control elements go hand-in-hand with an extended standard equipment level which now includes split-folding rear seats and ConnectedDrive Services for better connectivity.

Coupe

The design of the BMW ALPINA B4 S Bi-Turbo Coupe combines muscular and delicate elements in one chic silhouette. Its profile rakes from an imposing, muscular front accentuated with bold lines to a clean and stylish rear. The BMW ALPINA B4 S Bi-Turbo Coupe produces 324 kW (440 hp) and a maximum torque of 660 Nm, enabling the Coupe to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds (3.9 seconds with all-wheel drive), reaching a top speed of 306 km/h (303 km/h with all-wheel drive). At the same time it is capable of economical cruising with a combined fuel consumption according to the ECE norm of just 9.2 - 9.1 l/100 km and 209 - 207 g/km CO2. This exceptional performance is also available with all-wheel drive based on the BMW xDrive system which offers maximum traction and dynamics in all conditions.

Convertible

The visual appearance of the B4 S Bi-Turbo Convertible is defined by short overhangs, muscular shoulders ending in a powerful rear end, and the characteristic BMW metal folding roof. The sporty and powerful design of the front spoiler features functional air intakes and forms a perfect aerodynamic match with the discreet rear spoiler. The soundtrack of the smooth 3-litre straight-six cylinder engine with twin turbochargers is best enjoyed with the roof down. It produces 324 kW (440 hp) and a maximum torque of 660 Nm which is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed sport automatic transmission. The BMW ALPINA B4 S Bi-Turbo Convertible accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, reaching a top speed of 304 km/h. The combined fuel consumption according to the ECE norm is just 9.1 l/100 km and 207 g/km CO2.

The roof, which at the push of a button closes in just 20 seconds and up to a speed of 18 km/h, transforms the convertible into a winter-proof coupé. The contour of the closed roof with its steep rear window, together with the flat boot and ALPINA rear spoiler create an absolutely unique exterior appearance. The stainless steel exhaust system with elliptical twin tailpipes emits a powerful, baritone soundtrack, making open-top motoring a pleasure for all sense.

Dynamic Handling

The adaptive ALPINA sports suspension combines electronically adjustable dampers with springs, auxiliary springs and anti-roll bars. Independent of the active dampers continuously adapting to the current driving conditions, the driver can also noticeably adjust the suspension and overall driving dynamics towards a more comfort or sport orientated setup.

New ALPINA CLASSIC 20” forged wheels with revised, minimalistic design. A reduction in unsprung mass results in even sharper handling and precise steering and also leads to enhanced comfort.

Information on fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, including a listing of all offered new vehicles is available at all sales offices free of charge or online at www.energieetikette.ch. Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of a vehicle do not only depend on the efficient utilization of the fuel by the vehicle, but are also influenced by the driving behavior, the chosen tyre dimension and other nontechnical factors. CO2 is the greenhouse gas that is primary responsible for global warming. The average CO2 emission for all registered new vehicles in 2019 is 137 g/km.
